Hello, I am Maricela:

I do photography in a short sense, but it is much more than a click and upload. Photography is, first and foremost, an expressive form of art. Therefore, I am an artist, among many other things. I appreciate the experiences I have acquired and captured through my lens. It is my outlet for self-expression, stress management, and creative control.

I started dabbling in photography as a kid with a Sony Cybershot my parents gifted me with. I trained and worked as a Combat Photographer in the United States Marine Corps for a few years. I had the honor to travel with DPAA (Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency) as a part of a small recovery team to Vietnam as a forensics photographer in the Marine Corps.

I've taken all sorts of photography, from forensics and training events to ceremonial and studio; the experiences I gathered from being in the Marine Corps were the foundation for my photography skills. Throughout the years, I've also taken photos of landscapes, weddings, engagements, newborns, families, and individual portraiture.

I am here to tell a story, my story, and your story through motion and emotion. Whether I am capturing yourself, your family, event, or property, there is always a story to tell through photography.
